What you need to do

If you are overseas, before you leave, here is what you can do so that you are eligable to work, pretty much as soon as you arrive in Sydney.

• Notify An Bord Altranais, or which ever nursing   board you are registered with, to organise your   verification of registration for Australia. They are   aware of the procedure and charge a fee for this. • Inquire with the board, about postponing or   maintaining your registration in your country while   you're tarvelling and working abroad.

What you need to bring • ORIGINAL Certificate of Qualification • ORIGINAL Initial Registration Certificate • 2 written character references, one from a friend   or colleague and one from work. • Curriculum Vitae.

Tips • Uniform consists of: White blouse or shirt, Navy   pants or below knee length skirt, Black or navy   shoes. These items are quite cheap to buy out here if you don't wish to carry them travelling.
